I recently hit pan on my ColourPop super shock eyeshadow in the shade Smash and notice it’s been getting a bit dry so I hopped on ColourPop’s website and spotted a sale I couldn’t resist. At checkout, I ended up getting seven new shadows and a mini ultra satin lippie. I’ve broken down the shades below with plenty of swatches and some feedback after I’ve tried them out.
This is an ultra glitter champagne shade. I really love the color and it swatches like none other, but after wearing this as an inner corner highlight all day, all that was left was the silver flecks of glitter. They also migrated all over my under eye. I did a workout while wearing this so that probably contributed to the glitter spreading everywhere.
A satin golden, ivory shadow – this one won my heart immediately. I love rocking this shade as an all over the lid wash of color for a quick out-the-door day.
Ultra glitter, icy pink. This is a really pretty girly shade. I plan on rocking this during the summer with a no-makeup, makeup look.
Matte warm caramel. Cornelius is a perfect crease, transition shade. I really am looking forward to working with a cream transition shade as all of my shadows thus far have been powder/pressed
Satin dusty beige pink. This is a beautiful shade, but I think it may not be for me. It leaves me looking sickly/beaten. I need to work with it some more to get comfortable with it and hopefully find a use for it.
Matte warm rusty brown. Bandit makes a great outer corner shade if you have a darker shade just added ever so slightly to it. It’s really pretty but too warm for my transition shade. It makes me look a little sick. I’m kind of sad that I didn’t like this one more than I do.
Ultra metallic rose gold. I think that’s a terrible description. To me, it looks more like the bottom right shade in the Morphe 35o palette, in a cream form. I’m scared for what they describe as copper.
I know this isn’t an eyeshadow, but it was free with my purchase. It’s one of their ultra satin lippies. They call it a muted pink, but it draws a very purple tone on my lips. I love this shade and the ultra satin lips. They’re matte, but don’t dry down quite as much as the ultra matte lips do. It’s not irritating and doesn’t leave me touching my lips or feeling like I NEED to put on chapstick. They’re more comfortable to wear, and don’t leave my mouth looking like it’s spent a year in the desert w/o chapstick. You know all the little lines. I had minimal transfer if any, but when I ate dinner, it came off fairly easily. It didn’t flake like the ultra-mattes do.
I really love Colourpop as a whole. They have some amazing products that are a decent price. They’re good quality and made in the USA. Just this week ColourPop has just added nail polish, setting mists, and holographic lip balms to their collection. If you want to check out their site click here.
