Easy 3 Ingredient Smoothie Recipe

This is one of my first non-beauty posts thus far and I’m ecstatic to share it with you. I think beauty is made up of many factors and your health is one of them. I mean what’s more beautiful than someone who is healthy and happy? Well, the recipe below is great for both!

There are a few things you don’t mess with in my daily routine- breakfast and coffee are the top two. Oftentimes, and especially now that my next semester of school is approaching, I don’t have time to sit down and enjoy a full breakfast in the morning before I rush off to school, work, or whatever tasks I have to accomplish that day. But I can’t go without breakfast- no matter what.

If I am in a rush, this quick recipe is both satisfying and healthy and only requires 3 ingredients. 

1 – Individual container of Harvest Peach Yoplait Yogurt.
1/2 – Cup of frozen Pineapples & Strawberries.
1 – Tablespoon of Chia seeds (protein!).

I combine the ingredients in my Hamilton Beach Single Serve Blender – with Travel lid and blend. I pop the blender cup out of the base and out the door I go!



I purchased this blender for about $15.00 at Walmart & it works like a dream.

Some days my recipe is too thick to drink so I’ll add in some milk (any variety – regular dairy, soy, almond, whatever you choose) or just some ice or water. Also, it’s important to note that you can use any flavor/brand of yogurt and frozen fruit. You can also substitute other seed types if you choose or add another source of protein like peanut butter. The amount of each ingredient can be increased if you want a larger smoothie, too. I just use the recommended serving size of each ingredient.

I know a lot of people enjoy super intense smoothies with kale and like ten ingredients, but I prefer to keep it simple for the most part. There’s nothing wrong with a more complicated smoothie, but this is my preference for breakfast. Light and simple, but filling.

I’m also notorious for tossing a protein or granola bar in my bag for later (you never know what’s going to happen to lunch or when you’ll have time for it) and brewing a cup of coffee while I blend this smoothie together. My Keurig is quick and perfect for days when I know I won’t be near a Dunkin’ Donuts (not the most frugal option!) or at work (my bosses have spoiled me with a never ending supply of Dunkin’ K-Cups at work).

*This recipe makes a great afternoon snack, too.

    Smoothies are my favorite and this recipe seems so simple and yummy! I always make a lot, freeze them, and then thaw them in the refrigerator for breakfast for school! I love using the Jamba Juice frozen packs and then adding Yoplait greek yogurt and frozen bananas for a super thick smoothie bowl texture! I also always use orange juice because it makes it have a better flavor! Where do you buy your Chia Seeds, I’ve been curious about trying them, but don’t know where to find them? Thanks for the great post! xoxo

      Oh those are great ideas! I grabbed mine at Walmart actually because they had a tiny little packet that I could try instead of buying a giant tub of them. When they get wet, they get soft and a little chewy ish, so be prepared for texture, but it’s not that much. I like them! I’m definitely going to try some of these out. I never thought about freezing them so they’re ready ahead of time!

        Yes! I thought freezing them wouldn’t work because then they would just melt and be all watery, but they thaw exaclty the same! It’s great for when you can’t blend in the morning and wake others up! xoxo
