I thought I would start a coffee break series where it’s my time to catch you guys up with my life, get to know me a little better, and even get to know some of you! I don’t want to just be a stranger on the other side of a screen — let’s be friends! 🙂
Recently, my life has been crazy, and I’ve made my blog my top priority to keep it going strong! I already have 57 followers in ONE month! I know that’s literally nothing compared to most of you guys, but I am so proud of that! I’ve worked really hard for all 57 of you and am so thankful all of you have chosen to read what I have to say!
Okay, to the point.
This week has been especially challenging. I started back to school (my final semester of my post baccalaureate certification) and even though I already love my classes, they are going to keep me busy! I’m studying Commercial Law & Contracts, Real Property (Real estate and property law), Civil Litigation, Legal Research & Writing, and Administrative Law (governing the US’ administrative agencies). I know that probably sounds terrible to everyone else, but this is where I thrive.
Did I mention that Starbucks has an amazing Shaken Iced Green Tea!?! This girl might be hooked.
I am still having to adjust from a 15 minute walk across campus at my alma mater, to at least a 45 minute to an hour drive to get to whichever campus my classes are located at that day. Additionally, I’m still working a minimum of 15 hours each week at the law firm. The atmosphere in the firm as been wearing me down in the recent month or so. Sometimes I think the attorneys forget how much time and effort goes into the smallest tasks for them and that “making a quick phone call” usually ends up being a 30 minute ordeal. I promise I’m not complaining, as I do enjoy my job, but it can be very overwhelming at times. I’ve got to take a good, long look at my schedule and make sure that I write in plenty of time to blog for you guys. [If any of you guys are amazing schedulers, please contact me because I have questions.]
Also, my relationship with my boo is great! We met on Tinder last Halloween, but actually grew up in the same town and never crossed paths before. I’ve never been happier. He actually gave me a world class back massage last night and it was the perfect way to unwind from school and set me up to make the most of a challenging Friday at the office.
